““Lean into what you want to do and your strengths — put your energy and focus into that.”
-Dedun Oyenuga,Design Engineer
The very first episode of Inside the Life of Queengineers has just been launched and I could not have imagined a better Queengineer to debut the series than Dedun Oyenuga(a pioneering Design Engineer with a Master’s degree from Imperial College London and now a UX consultant at Microsoft).
In a world where engineering is still seen through a ‘tech bro’ lens,Dedun is rewriting the narrative—proving that innovation thrives when women lead with purpose and passion.
In our conversation, we have explored many parts of her life and her top tips and advice for all of you! We discussed what it means to be a multi-passionate student when schools often encourage you to choose one specialty field. From studying Art and Spanish alongside Maths and Physics at A Level, Dedun shows us to go all in on your passions and never let them go.
